Cornflake Coated French Toast Recipe
French toast coated with a layer of corn flakes.
Ingredients
- 8 slices bread (Challah, French, or white bread), cut 1 inch thick
- 3 large eggs, beaten
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups milk
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups corn flakes, crushed
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- Beat the eggs, milk, salt sugar and vanilla with a whisk until well incorporated.
- Preheat griddle side on high for at least 10 minutes.
- Soak the bread slices in the egg mixture.
- Place the crushed corn flakes on a plate, press the french toast into the corn flakes on each side.
- Shake to remove excess flakes
- After the griddle has been preheated add the french toast.
- Cook for 3 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked thoroughly.
