Shrimp and Grits

Ingredients

  • 10 pieces 41/50 Shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 Tablespoon Diced Green Pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon Diced Red Pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon Diced Yellow Onion
  • 1 Teaspoon Garlic
  • 2 Tablespoons Canola Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons Diced Tasso Ham
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 2 Tablespoons White Wine
  • ½ Cup Heavy Cream

Instructions

  1. Place Saute pan stove at Medium heat, add Canola oil.
  2. When oil smokes slightly, add Shrimp, Tasso Ham, Onions, Peppers, Garlic, Salt and Pepper.
  3. When the Shrimp turns pink add wine.
  4. Continue sautéing for about 2 minutes and add Heavy Cream.
  5. Bring mixture to a boil, turn down to medium-low heat.
  6. Let cream reduce slightly for 2 minutes, season to taste with salt and pepper.
  7. Take off of the heat
  8. Serve over grits and enjoy!
