Maple Syrup Pie

Pecan pie blended with maple syrup, brown sugar, butter and salt

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • 1 1/2 cups pecan halves
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed firmly
  • 1 9-inch pie shell, unbaked
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream, whipped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Blend together butter, maple syrup, brown sugar and salt until mixed well.
  3. Add beaten eggs until incorporated well. Then add the pecans and mix well.
  4. Pour into the unbaked pie shell.
  5. Bake for 40-45 minutes until set.
  6. Set on a wire rack to cool.
  7. Serve with vanilla ice cream, lightly whipped cream, or just plain.
