Maple Syrup Pie Recipe
Pecan pie blended with maple syrup, brown sugar, butter and salt
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 4 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 cup maple syrup
- 1 1/2 cups pecan halves
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed firmly
- 1 9-inch pie shell, unbaked
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup heavy cream, whipped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Blend together butter, maple syrup, brown sugar and salt until mixed well.
- Add beaten eggs until incorporated well. Then add the pecans and mix well.
- Pour into the unbaked pie shell.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until set.
- Set on a wire rack to cool.
- Serve with vanilla ice cream, lightly whipped cream, or just plain.
