Strawberry Kakigori
Ingredients
- 1 pound unsweetened frozen strawberries
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 6 cups shaved ice
- 3/4 cup canned sweetened condensed milk
Instructions
- In a medium saute pan over medium heat, add strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice. Bring to a boil and cook 3 minutes, stirring frequently, until bubbly. Do not mash strawberries. After 3 minutes, strain juice into a medium bowl. Discard solids. Chill covered in the refrigerator at least 3 hours.
- Fill six serving bowls with shaved ice. Pour strawberry syrup over ice. Drizzle 2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk over each serving.
