Disney Parks Maple Popcorn Recipe
Maple Popcorn
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup cold salted butter
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon maple flavoring
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 20 cups popped popcorn (See our Disney Parks Popcorn recipe)
Instructions
- In a medium saute pan over medium heat, add sugar, butter, maple syrup, corn syrup, and salt. Cook and stir until butter is melted and ingredients are combined, about 3 minutes. Stir occasionally until temperature reaches 300°F. Remove from heat and add maple flavoring and vanilla extract.
- Put about half of the popped popcorn into a large paper grocery bag. Carefully pour about half of the maple sauce over popcorn. Add remaining popcorn, then remaining maple sauce.
- Roll down the top of bag and, wearing mitts or using hot pads, shake bag vigorously to coat all the popcorn. Carefully pour coated popcorn onto wax or parchment paper on countertop and use a rubber spatula to spread evenly and break up large chunks.
- Let sit about 20 minutes to allow coating to harden. Store leftovers in an airtight container up to 1 week
