Tinker Bell Cocktail Recipe
This concoction was first created at the Old Imperial Bar in the Imperial Hotel Tokyo. In a competition in 1990, the drink won first prize over 179 other entries and became a regular item on the bar menu. Coincidentally enough, a short time later Disney legend Marc Davis (who created the character of Tinkerbell) walked into that same bar looking for a drink recommendation. As you would expect he was served the Tinker Bell Cocktail. The cocktail’s purple color comes from sweet Liqueur de Violette, shaken with silver rum, peach liqueur and fresh lemon juice. And the green maraschino cherry that sits at the bottom of the drink? Well, I’ll give you one guess as to who that represents.
