Shrimp and Prosciutto Pasta

Shrimp and Prosciutto Pasta

Pasta with garlic, shrimp, prosciutto and garnished with basil and tomatoes

Ingredients

  • 1 lb pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
  • 1 lb medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/2 cup chopped prosciutto
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped basil
  • 1/4 cup diced fresh tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain well.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the garlic, shrimp, and prosciutto and saute for about 3 minutes, until shrimp are pink, firm, and slightly opaque.
  4. Add the white wine and simmer for 1 minute.
  5. Stir in the cream and cheese.
  6. Gently fold in the cooked pasta.
  7. Garnish with basil and tomatoes.
